Serravalle (BlenioBike)

A ring in the middle and lower Blenio valley with departure and arrival in Acquarossa. The route is pleasant and very easy, ideal for families wishing to ride along the valley floor away from carriage roads. It is a fun route to discover suggestive corners of the territory along asphalted secondary roads, dirt stretches and also easy single-trails. You descend to Loderio via Dongio, Motto , Ludiano and Semione; you return along the left bank of the Brenno river crossing Malvaglia and again Motto Dongio to Acquarossa. Monuments along the way: the Romanesque churches of San Remigio in Corzoneso Piano and San Pietro in Motto-Ludiano, Serravalle Castle in Semione and the Oratory of the Nativity in Loderio.

The Blenio Ethnographic Museum and Ca da Rivöi

The Blenio Valley Historical and Ethnographic Museum is located in Lottigna, in a splendid 16th century building. On the facade you can admire frescoes with the coats of arms of the Landfogti of Uri, Schwyz and Nidwalden who governed the Blenio territory between 1501 and 1598. Inside the museum you will find further frescoes with coats of arms of the families of the valley, objects related to agriculture, sacred art and winemaking.

The ruins of the Serravalle Castle

The Church of San Carlo di Negrentino

Situated in a unique and isolated location, it is accessible just a few steps from Leontica by crossing a small suspension bridge.
